For almost 30 years, the Polo Bears have been encouraging people of all ages to make a splash, keep active and enjoy the excitement of a truly unique sport.
Since forming in 1996, the North Brisbane Polo Bears have grown into a strong, family-focused water polo club with teams across the junior age groups and senior competitions. We are proud of our experienced coaches, quality facilities and strong history of developing players, with a number of State Representatives and Olympians having called the Polo Bears home.
If you love swimming and are looking for an exciting team sport, the Polo Bears are a fantastic community where players are supported to develop their skills, build confidence, make lifelong friendships and achieve their best.
Our teams continue to compete strongly in the Brisbane Competition, while our players and teams also represent the club at Queensland
State and Australian competitions.
In 2026, Polo Bears teams have competed across a range of State Championship age groups, with players continuing to represent the club at
the highest levels of junior water polo.
But it's not all about competition. At the Polo Bears, we believe water polo should be fun, inclusive and rewarding.
Whether your child is taking their first steps into the sport or is already an experienced player, there is a place for them in our club.

2026/27 Brisbane Junior Metropolitan Competition (BJMC)
The North Brisbane Polo Bears are excited to begin planning for the 2026/27 Brisbane Junior Metropolitan Competition (BJMC) season and
invite all current and prospective players to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).
Submitting an EOI helps the club understand anticipated player numbers, plan teams, appoint coaches and plan the seasons training schedule.
